Even with Simon's help, our Lord is too weak to bear the heavy wood and, for the second time, falls crashing to the ground. But it is courageous obedience to His Father's will, and out of love for us, that He struggles to His feet and staggers on.

Lord Jesus, You had shown them only love and kindness yet they delighted in Your fall.

Cruelty is often the fate of the caring and those deemed too gullible to fight back.

Lord Jesus when I’m faced with cruel twists of fate, don’t let me give up on my spiritual journey, remind me of this fall and give me the strength to carry on loving You

• Separation or  Divorce
• Cot death
• Redundancy
• Severe injury or a devastating life changing diagnosis
