Simon
of Cyrene helps to carry the Cross As they led Him away, the soldiers were afraid that Jesus was too weak to make it to Golgotha, so they seized a man: Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, laid the Cross on him, and made him carry it behind Jesus. |
|
How did you feel Simon when you got
lumbered? To the whole world you were unlucky, wrong place at the
wrong time. Dead man walking or trying to, No glory there mate but
best
not upset pilate’s henchmen.

|
I know you didn’t want to get
involved, but from the moment your reluctant hands touched the wood of
the Cross your eyes were opened and you saw beyond the blood, mud,
sweat and humiliation and by the time we got to Golgotha your life had
changed . And forever
will your name be immortalised in My passion.
