Paraphrase of the Lord's Prayer

Saint Francis has a paraphrase. This is my version

Our Father:  We love You with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds and with all our strengths.
Who art in Heaven: With the angels and all who have gone before. You give them light so that they may have knowledge, because You are light. We praise You with all the company of heaven: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty. Heaven and earth are full of Your glory.
Hallowed be Thy name:  In all that we say and do. Increase our knowledge and awareness of Your continual presence and care for us that we may share it with all whom we meet and especially with all whom we cherish.
Thy kingdom come: Reign in us, in all your churches and increasingly throughout the World. Help us to balance a proper concern for our own salvation with a desire to spread your Kingdom.
Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven: Help us to love and serve, as You love and serve, rejecting no-one but serving especially those for whom you have given us each special responsibility: Our families, our friends and those  whose plight  or circumstances touch our hearts.
Give us  this day our daily bread: Make us thankful for what is necessary, help us to reject what is indulgence and help us to honour Spiritual food especially in Holy Communion, reminding us of our Saviour’s Passion.
And forgive us our trespasses: In Your infinite mercy, and by the power of the passion of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us.
As we forgive those who  trespass against us:  Help us to despise no-one and pray for those whom we do not like, have no time for or who have hurt us.
And lead us not into temptation: Hidden or obvious, sudden or gradual. Open our eyes to our faults and cleanse us from all that defiles or obstructs our relationship with You.
But Deliver us from evil: Past present and future. Give us the ability to discern its presence in hidden (even “respectable”) places and  the confidence to confront it with Your Power and Love.

For Thine is the Kingdom the Power and the Glory for ever and ever. Amen.
